Course Description
- LaBooM is a two-level language course to acquire foreign language skills for the book and media sector.
- LaBooM comprises learning content to be retrieved via Internet or CD-ROM. In addition, there are optional attendance phases to be completed in further training institutions.
- LaBooM is a blended-learning language course, which can be partly completed online and offers additional attendance phases, during which the content learned on the Internet is enhanced and deepened jointly with colleagues working in the same sector under the instruction of a teacher.
- One LaBooM language course can be completed within ten weeks, with a weekly workload of three to four hours for the online modules.
- LaBooM consists of ten modules, five of which at Level 1 and five at Level 2. Every module consists of two units, which treat a topic of relevance for the book and media sector in progressing levels of difficulty.
- LaBooM builds on the Europe-wide recognised Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, with Level 1 corresponding to Level A2 (Waystage Level) and Level 2 to Level B2 (Vantage Level).
